the titanic experment

  On Monday kea did an experiment where we had to test objects to see if they would flot.

First we had to think of some stuff we can use to test, like a basketball stick tire, coke math blocks wood and lego. And did they all float yes all but the coke can and a tyer you see the tyer sinking is obvious but the full  coke can had a different story becomes the can was not full all the way it did sink but not all the way like i said it was not full all the way so when you put it in the water the bottom stays afloat while the top go’s down into the water

Auckland storm

Today on Newshub. On Tuesday at 3am a storm hit Auckland. Cars were smashed by trees and power was cut. Our teacher's  power was cut, she had to get ready with her phone torch and today winds are going up to 140 mph and we will be stuck at school. Our school might flood and our streets and maybe even our houses. There is debris all over the road and now at 12.16pm it is still raining and there is strong winds.

Our teacher's  power was cut, she had to get dressed with her phone and today winds are going up to 140 mph and we will be stuck at school. Our school  might  flood  and so can the streets and our houses. On the road there is debris  all over the road and now at 12.16pm it is raining and with strong winds.

 On the last day of the term we had a science fair. Around about half of the term had been spent working hard for our projects for science fair. My group did tsunamis. We had to do research tsunamis and make an experiment that involves tsunamis. Next we got a tray, a flat piece of cardboard, a mountain of sand, water  and a shield with cardboard. Then we used the pieces of cardboard to make a tsunami by pushing the water.

We found out that cardboard is not a good shield
